Dr. Norman Chazin, M.D., DABPN – Medical Director

Dr. Norman Chazin brings more than 40 years of psychiatric and clinical expertise to Liberty Wellness, where he serves as Medical Director. A highly respected physician in the fields of mental health, addiction medicine, and forensic psychiatry, Dr. Chazin plays a vital role in supporting Liberty Wellness’ commitment to providing safe, ethical, and client-centered care.

A graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine, Dr. Chazin completed his psychiatric residency at Maine Medical Center and continued advanced studies at both the Sorbonne (University of Paris) and Franklin & Marshall College. He is board-certified in psychiatry and forensic psychiatry and is recognized as a Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM). His professional affiliations include the American Psychiatric Association, the New Jersey Psychiatric Association, and the American Academy of Psychiatry and Law.

At Liberty Wellness, Dr. Chazin oversees all psychiatric services and provides direct clinical care to individuals with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. His areas of clinical focus include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, OCD, schizophrenia-spectrum disorders, and chronic relapse patterns associated with untreated psychiatric symptoms.
