Clinical Director, Dan Maurer
Dan Maurer is the Clinical Director at Liberty Wellness. He obtained his Masters in Clinical Counseling from Eastern University and is a licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) as well as a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC). Dan works to see that the clinical program and staff reach their maximum potential in serving our clients. Dan has experience in various mental health settings, and is skilled in treating addiction along with other mental health disorders. He operates from a person-centered perspective and utilizes a variety of techniques derived from cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy. Dan focuses on treating the addiction, as well as aiding individuals with living am ore meaningful life beyond addiction.
Medical Director, Dr. Norman Chazin
Dr. Chazin, board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Adult and Forensic is a graduate of Tufts Medical School has extensive experience in the Field of Addiction Psychiatry. Dr. Chazin has over 25 years of experience treating patients struggling with substance misuse and mental health. Dr. Chazin serves as the Director of Psychiatry at Stockton University where he Supervises the Wellness Program, evaluates, and treats students Since 1985.
Advanced Practice Nurse, Leslie Yerkes
Leslie graduated from Penn State University with her BSN in 1988 and her MSN in 2014. Leslie is is a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) in addition to her credential as an APN. Leslie began treating patients with Substance Use Disorder in 2015 which has become her passion. Leslie prides herself in not only treating the disease, but treating each person with compassion and understanding.
